Why do I exercise? Unlike some, I do not exercise to keep fit, look good, lose weight or because I am told it is good for you or because I want to live for an inordinate amount of years. I exercise or more explicitly I run, cycle, walk and a do a modicum of body exercises because I enjoy it and because for some reason unknown to me it causes my stream of creativity to flow, which is something I also find enjoyable.  I also do not exercise unless I feel like doing it. A schedule would impinge on the notion of doing something for enjoyment.

There would really be little point to doing anything by choice that you didn’t enjoy. And yet exercise for many seems to be an area where people do it for a multitude of reasons but never for enjoyment. Why?
