Confusionism was first mooted by Lawrence and Tennant in May 2009 in a small restaurant overlooking the sea in the small Thai coastal town of Bang Saen as a concept in which art would better and with greater meaning reflect the reality of confusion and frustration the individual experiences in modern world while also trying to identify and lay bear the contradictions creating the condition.

Confusionism at its root level is a way of understanding, recognizing and describing the world to our own limits and possibly a way to find a path. Confusionism though does not offer answers and indeed rejects the idea of always having to have answers or alternatives impacting on the confusion in the human condition in the first place.

Posts subsequent to this will lay out the the core ideas behind confusionism and discuss and develop them as they organically develop
